About Event

The Sierra Club Angeles Chapter partners with Lindsey Red-tail to offer a workshop highlighting the necessity of connection to earth as a vital catalyzing and strengthening tool towards climate action. An outdoor gathering with the community, Lindsey Red-tail, a non-binary and Indigenous Dance Artist, Ceremonialist and Facilitator in Nature, invites us to remember our deep connection to the Land, Pachamama. Like the Trees we will practice sending our roots down underneath us, re-connecting our feet to the soil so that the root systems can guide us.These are our Spirit Teachers here to help us grow, supporting us in grounding and strength. Participants will access deep listening in the body, curiosity and play! As Red-tail guides movement and medicine songs in Nature.

Participants will become informed stewards of the land, creating a healthy relationship to the Trees. After the movement workshop, the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter will lead a discussion on the importance of this practice in continuing climate action work, and offer some present campaigns that could use support should people feel called.
