"Justice + Java" Breakfast ☕️☀️ with the Brave House
If you’ve been feeling helpless in the face of heartbreaking headlines — this is a way to take action. Join the Brave House team, board, and supporters for a morning of connection, courage, and community power.
🦋 Who are we? The Brave House is a non-profit supporting 500+ young immigrant women in NYC with legal and holistic advocacy.
🦋 What are we addressing? ICE raids and deportations are surging and our legal team has witnessed firsthand the court hallways now lined with heavily armed ICE agents in ski masks. We are ensuring that young immigrant women have a lawyer by their side and have their human rights protected.
🦋 How are we doing it? We’re raising $50,000 by the end of September to expand our legal team and provide free, trauma-informed legal aid for young immigrant women. From asylum cases, to deportation defense, to work permit and green card applications, to Know Your Rights workshops, we are on the ground doing crucial work for this community.
🦋 Did you know?:
💼 Private attorneys can cost over $15,000.
💖 We offer compassionate, bilingual legal support at no cost.
📈 Our success rate is 99%, compared to as low as 2–5% without representation.
💸 Please consider supporting our mission here as we fight back and strengthen our legal aid initiatives.
