Volunteering Untapped NYC: City Harvest (July Event)

​Volunteering Untapped NYC is on a mission to build community through volunteering. We host events every month on the second Saturday and partner with local organizations around the city.

​This month we are partnering with two nonprofits, this sign up form is for our event with City Harvest to pass out food at one of their Mobile Markets. City Harvest provides over three million pounds of fresh produce, free of charge, every year through these outdoor farmers market-style food distributions.

​If you would like to participate, we ask that you sign up using this Luma event and also on the City Harvest sign up form we send to your email, please complete both registrations by June 26 (please be patient waiting for the City Harvest email as it is not automated). Due to limited slots, we ask that you only sign up once you know you will be available to arrive by 8:30AM and stay the whole shift.

​Note: You must have registered on BOTH Luma and City Harvest and should've received an email from City Harvest confirming your spot. If you are unsure, feel free to reach out to us!

​Location: St. Mary's Mobile Market, please note this is an outdoor event in July, we recommend bringing water, a hat, and wearing sunscreen.

​If you are uncertain if you are in the right spot, you should see people lining up to receive food, and we’ll be located at the front of the line.

​Afterwards we'll head to a local bar to hang out!

​City Harvest exists to end hunger in communities throughout New York City. They do this through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions.

​Socials

​Volunteering Untapped socials are an optional way to further socialize with other volunteers; we encourage everyone to come out to the social! Food and drinks will be available to purchase.

In addition, Volunteering Untapped has my permission to use photos or video taken at the event for publicity purposes.
