About Event

Join us for a webinar on the Jewish considerations of organ and tissue donation with JADE Staff. This webinar is designed for anyone who is interested in learning more about Jewish death practices: Jews and those who love them as well as professionals that might be in the role of supporting Jewish families at the end of life.

A central principle in Judaism is pikuach nefesh, the preservation of a human life. One of the ways that one can heal others and save lives is through organ and tissue donation after death. This webinar will explain and explore what happens in this process, the options available in donation (organs, cornea, tissue, whole-body, etc.), the impacts of such donations on Jewish death rituals, and how to communicate your desires.
