Local Hub Washington DC: L&D Lab at MLK Library
We’re kicking off a new rhythm of in-person meetups with a hands-on L&D Lab at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library!
💡What is an L&D Lab?
A space for experimenting, learning, and connecting—beyond the usual networking. Think guest speakers, hands-on idea testing, interactive workshops, and real conversations about what’s working (and what’s not) in L&D.
🎲 July’s Topic: Harnessing the Power of Play in L&D
Join facilitators Erin Murphy and Alexandra Suchman for a playful and purposeful session on how games can drive learning, shift culture, and improve the work experience.
In this session, we will:
Dive into the science of play and why it matters in L&D
Explore different types of games and when to use them
Learn a few games you can bring back to your team
And, of course, connect with fellow L&D professionals in the DC community
📍 Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, Room 401-F
🕕 Wednesday, June 23 | 6:00-7:00 PM
(Grab drinks/dinner nearby after, if you're up for it!)
Let the games begin!

P.S. L&D Labs happen on the 4th Wednesday of every odd month (e.g. July, Sept, Nov). So mark your calendars!
