ETHiopia Hackathon Week

​Mark your calendar for a transformative hackathon week during the ETHiopia Pop-Up! A hackathon is an intense, collaborative event where developers, designers, and innovators come together to solve problems, build projects, and create solutions using technology, in this case Ethereum and products in its ecosystem!

This week-long experience combines expert-led workshops in Solidity development, interactive problem-solving sessions, and opportunities to push boundaries in real world blockchain innovation. From ideation to creation, participants will learn, code, and innovate together in a fast-paced environment that encourages creativity, skill-building, and community-building. By the end of the week, you'll leave with real-world accomplishments, new projects, and a stronger network to continue contributing to the Ethereum ecosystem.

Challenges will be hosted on Dora Hacks (coming soon), so don’t forget to create your builder profile and be part of the action.


Hackathon Rules

​Time Limit: The hackathon runs for 5 days, kicking off on February 10th and concluding on February 14th, qualifying projects will be asked to demo on February 16th during the first Ethereum Conference in Ethiopia. All projects must be submitted before the deadline to qualify for judging.

​Themes: Explore innovative solutions across themes like depin, ai, financial inclusion, sustainability, and blockchain for social good. Specific challenge tracks will be announced on Dora Hacks.

​Team Limit: Teams can have a maximum of 5 participants. Collaborate effectively, and don’t hesitate to team up with new friends you meet during the ETHiopia Pop Up!

​Original Work: All work must be started and completed within the hackathon period. Pre-existing projects are not allowed.

​Participation: Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a developer, designer, or someone with big ideas. hackathons are best attempted with friends, we recommend you share with an friend you want to hack with, with an open mind to build your true passions.
