May Berlin AI Meetup
Come join us for an evening of inspiring presentations, workshops, and code in and around all things AI!
If you’ve got questions or ideas to share, feel free to join our Discord community!
Agenda
18:30 - Arrive and networking (with food and drinks)
19:00 - Opening, Tejas Kumar (DataStax): How to build a quality, personal AI agent
We will explore together how you can build an AI agent (with no code!) that runs on your local machine and manages your life: your email, your contacts, your calendars, and more. You could even wire it up to a smart home system (Alexa, etc.) and have a real working JARVIS in your home.
This is accessible to a wide audience and doesn't require technical skills so please do invite anyone you think would benefit from this: technical or not.
19:30 - Networking Break
19:45 - Tudor Golubenco (CTO, Xata): How LLMs Help Us Manage PostgreSQL at Scale
Learn how Berlin-based startup Xata built an AI agent that serves the role of a full-time Database Administrator (DBA) and optimizer: an AI agent that reduces the cost of running a Postgres database at scale and helps business run.
20:15 - Networking Break
20:30 - Lightning talks and/or hacking
22:00 - Close
What to Expect
Check out the last event's mood video and the talks from the February event below to get an idea of the evening:
We'll follow pretty much the same format. We have an open stage after the second talk for community lightning talks which some say is the best part of the event.
