βWelcome to another episode of the Techmeme Ride Home Experience β this time we're going down the NFT rabbit hole!
βWe discussed the NFT hype earlier this year (see: Are NFTs bad for artists? and the Roblox Debut with a mention of Beeple, etc), but it seems to have reached a fever pitch with growing momentum this week.

βAfter Brian minted the first NFT of a podcast episode back in March (several editions are still for sale!), the space has exploded and we wanted to dig in and better understand why now, what's been going on recently, and how all this activity is likely to continue to play out. Is this the big shift to the promiseland of the decentralized web β with social and commerce built in from the ground floor? β or is this a speculator's paradise careening towards a Wile E Coyote-style cliff jump?
