(Virtual) Sacred Cedar: Healing and Ancestral Wisdom
Welcome to: 🌲 Decolonizing the Holidays: Evergreens Edition 🌲
Presented by Seeding Sovereignty's Mutual Aid Program
Hosted by Yam Vallis, Seeding Sovereignty's Mutual Aid Program Manager, and tahnee simone, Spiritual worker and founder of SacredSkin Craftworks + Spiritual Arts
For the third event in this series, Sacred Cedar: Healing and Ancestral Wisdom, we’ll gather to honor the cedar tree’s sacred role in AfroIndigenous traditions. Known as a tree of protection, healing, and connection to the ancestors, cedar offers profound lessons on resilience and spiritual grounding.
This workshop includes a special solstice celebration gathering, where we’ll reflect on the season’s transitions and reconnect with our roots through ceremony, storytelling, and hands-on herbal crafting. Together, we’ll celebrate the wisdom of cedar and its timeless ability to nurture body, mind, and spirit.
🌿 Let’s honor the solstice and deepen our connection to ancestral traditions in community. 🌿
