Novo Concertante Manila with choirmaster Dr. Arwin Q. Tan

​Novo Concertante Manila (Novo) is a world-renowned chamber choir, established in 1998. With a remarkable journey marked by numerous performances and accolades, Novo has excelled on both local and international stages, cementing its reputation as one of the Philippines' premier choral ensembles.

​Recently, they achieved remarkable success at the 70th International Choral Contest of Habaneras and Polyphony in Torrevieja, Spain, where they were awarded a Gold Diploma. Additionally, they earned the 3rd Prize in the Habaneras category, solidifying their standing in international choral circles.

​The choir has also received the esteemed Ani ng Dangal award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2015, recognizing their success in international choral competitions. Consistently ranked as one of the top choirs globally, Novo has maintained a Top 3 position in the Top 1000 Mixed Choirs of the World by INTERKULTUR from 2016 to 2024, an organization that manages global choir competitions.

​Guided by Dr. Arwin Q. Tan, an alumnus of the UP Madrigal Singers, Novo has built a repertoire that encompasses a wide range of genres, from pop and OPM to classical and sacred music, spanning eras from the Renaissance to contemporary 21st-century compositions. Their work can be explored in several of their album recordings.

​Originally formed as a recital choir, Novo is now the resident church choir at Christ the King Parish in Quezon City, where they view performances as an extension of their music ministry. Whether it’s through Sunday masses, special concerts, or prestigious international competitions, Novo’s mission is to bring people closer to experiencing God’s presence through music—an aspiration that drives their commitment to excellence.
