​What You Need to Know

​Playing poker is 100% optional, feel free to come and enjoy the vibes, eat food, and mingle

• ​Make sure to bring cash

• ​Beginner poker players are encouraged to attend. This is a friendly game of low stakes poker and the first buy-in starts at $10

• ​We'll have 4 tables set up to play

• ​If you're new to Startup Haven events, familiarize yourself with the details by reviewing the Startup Haven Event Basics 

​We strongly encourage women, people of color, and individuals from all under-recognized groups to join us. We acknowledge that poker, as well as the tech and startup community, has historically been male-dominated. However, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and players.

​​​Antler works with founders through our signature founder residency, adding value immediately, and taking no equity up front. Founders also have the opportunity to pitch to receive a $200k investment for 8%, allowing them to build for 12-18 months rather than attempting to raise before they have real traction. ​Please do not bring uninvited guests. If you know a founder or investor whom you think would meet the Startup Haven member requirements, please make an intro and we'll get them set up.

​Founders Dinner and Startup Poker 2.0 events have been running continuously for more than 18 years. If you are new to the Startup Haven network, you should know that this is a fun, inclusive, and low-stakes poker game and that we embrace diversity, open conversations, and learning. Playing in the poker game is not required; but it is a ton of fun and you might just win some cash and/or a cool sponsor prize!

​Random and Guaranteed Poker Seats: Just a reminder that, in the event that more than 40 attendees want to play poker, Level 2 members will be settled first and then we will cut cards for the remaining seats. 

​Safety Concerns: If you have safety concerns and would like someone to accompany you to your vehicle, we would be happy to accommodate you, just let one of our team members know or email us in advance at membership@startuphaven.com. Thank you! If you are sick, or have loved ones that are vulnerable, please consider coming to future events instead.
