About Event

The three marks of existence are Buddhism’s basic description of reality – they are impermanence, suffering, and non-self.

Insight into these three simple truths, which characterize all things, can create greater liberation and ease. How can an understanding of these truths have practical benefits for our daily lives? We will explore this question together.

There will be 30 minutes of guided meditation and time for a dharma talk and discussion.

Eileen Ybarra began studying Theravadan Buddhism and meditation practice in 2004. Since 2004, she has studied with Trudy Goodman, Gil Fronsdal, and with a variety of teachers through the Against the Stream Meditation Society and Spirit Rock Meditation Center. Her profession is public librarianship, a meaningful practice of service and mindfulness which she is grateful for. Currently, Eileen is one of the facilitators for the monthly Meditation Coalition People of Color (POC) meditation group where she leads guided meditations and group discussions. Eileen also teaches dharma and mindfulness meditation at InsightLA
