Sustainable Solar Panel Masterclass

​Welcome to the Circular Solar Week at Design Factory and Aalto Test-Site! During the week we will explore the possibilities and limitations of solar power both in theory and practice with a dutch startup Biosphere Solar that creates more recyclable and fair solar panels than most in the market (https://www.biosphere.solar/).

​The startup founders Siemen Brinksma and Perine Fleury will host a masterclass about their journey to solar energy, what are the issues with the solar panel industry and what opportunities they see for the renewable energy transition.

​You also have a chance to join a two-day hands-on workshop to install the solar panels at Aalto Test-Site community garden guided by the experts. The week will culminate in a solar-powered Test-Site Summer Party where the DJs are amplified with sun-sourced energy!
