Design for Transformation: Meetup for Biomimicry
Join us at the Biomimicry Institute’s casual meetup with team members Amanda Sturgeon, CEO and Asha Singhal, D4T Communications Manager. This hangout is bringing together changemakers driven to implement nature-inspired solutions to global challenges.
While in Amsterdam for the D4T Project Kickoff, our team members Amanda Sturgeon and Asha Singhal are excited to connect with climate-focused impact investors, foundations, innovators, and leaders interested in nature-inspired solutions. This happy hour provides a unique opportunity to exchange insights and collaborate on scalable, nature-inspired solutions that have the potential to drive significant social and environmental impact.
Please note, attendance requests must be approved due to limited space. This helps ensure a balanced and intimate gathering, allowing a meaningful and focused experience for everyone.
The meetup will take place in Amsterdam’s Rokin district. The exact location will be shared upon registration. As space is limited, we kindly ask that you RSVP and let us know if your plans change.
About the Design for Transformation Project:
The Design for Transformation (D4T) project is a global initiative that aims to develop circular economy solutions by using biomimetic principles to address textile waste. It focuses on demonstrating technology pathways for processing mixed textile waste, especially the lowest-value fractions that are often incinerated or landfilled. D4T seeks to transform this waste into biocompatible outputs, which can serve as feedstocks for diverse industries. The project emphasizes regional implementation, using a multi-nodal network approach, and collaboration with local stakeholders to scale these solutions. The D4T project also aims to create new material flows, reduce reliance on non-renewable resources, and support the growth of a bioeconomy. For more information on the project, visit our website here.
