Zak Slayback is a Partner at 1517 Fund, a venture capital fund making $50k - $1.5mm investments at the earliest stages of companies. Founded by the cofounders of the Thiel Fellowship, 1517 regularly invests in builders, makers, and scientists working on deep tech, SaaS, and hardware. They were the earliest investors in Mach Industries, Atom Computing, Loom, Lambda, and Luminar. 1517 also offers $1k cash grants to makers working on prototypes and proofs of concept.
