​Join us for a night of open dialogue and live music that explores the complexities of diaspora and it’s impact on identity and belonging. Be a part of the conversation and learn the intimate details of the creation of the short film “efímera” while supporting the artists in their pursuit of its creation.

​About the film

​Efímera is a deeply personal short film that follows Casandra, an immigrant finding her way in New York City. She is grappling with an intrusive memory as she searches for a sense of belonging that delves further into the soul pool that is her identity. Efímera is a surrealist examination of belonging, identity, memory, and self-discovery.

​Written & directed by Alexandria Lewis and Fedra Ramirez-Olivares.
