About Event

Having coached hundreds of tech leaders and founders in Silicon Valley and Singapore, Karen Tay is attuned to the unique challenges of Asian tech leaders who operate in cross-cultural environments. She has crafted this interactive, hands-on workshop for the Block 71 and Singapore Global Network community, targeted at tech leaders with at least 8 years of experience and/or founders.

If you're looking for practical tools that have helped many other tech leaders thrive and grow through the rollercoaster of start-up leadership, this workshop is for you. You will:

  • Gain practical tools + strategies to regulate yourself, and your team, in the midst of tough times and transitions

  • Learn when to invest in and when to cut challenging relationships - a major source of stress for leaders

  • Practice difficult feedback and coaching conversations in a safe environment

  • Identify gaps in your support network for tough times and transitions

  • Gain a peer support network to continue your growth

SGN and Block 71 are generously sponsoring a delicious Singaporean dinner after the workshop, providing the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect further.

"The scenarios and accompanying frameworks were really relevant to what we encounter in startup life and I’m glad the session was also interactive, especially with the simulation." - VP of Operations, Series B start-up
