Workshop: Embedding digital inclusion in your organisation
Ten million people across the UK lack the very basic digital skills they need for life and work. Yet the pandemic has accelerated digital transformation and pushed essential services online, locking millions out of these services.
Thanks to their trusted relationships with individuals in their communities, charities and community organisations are well placed to support individuals to develop the skills they need to get online. Support does not necessarily mean putting on digital skills training sessions and works best when it is embedded in existing projects and services.
This workshop, delivered by leading digital inclusion charity, Good Things Foundation will introduce participants to digital inclusion and why it is important. It will support participants to:
Start designing a digital inclusion approach for their organisation.
Think about how to embed digital inclusion within their organisation.
Give an overview of support available through Good Things Foundation’s Online Centres Network.
This workshop is open to anyone for whom this will be useful. The workshop will be run twice: on 14th and 20th April.
