Crisis Response in the Modern Media Environment: Imagining, Building, and Communicating Humanitarian Shelter Solutions in a Connected World

​Brooklyn College's Dept. of Television, Radio & Emerging Media, working with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), have organized a one-day conference open to all students, alum, faculty, and staff across NYC and surrounding colleges and universities who are interested in learning about career, internship, and research opportunities available in the international humanitarian field.

​One of IOM's missions is to build and maintain shelter for displaced populations worldwide. Expertise in many disciplines--architecture, engineering, design, media and communication, international relations, sustainability, and many others — is required to successfully carry out this crucial work.
