IFA reflections: What should the electronics industry actually look like?

Join us for a sparkling mix of reflections, celebration and networking at our IFA after-work event on Monday, September 9th! Only 10-15 min away from the trade fair area, we’ll await you at the beautiful ESCP Berlin campus with free drinks and food, juicy discussions, inspiring pitches that include prices and relaxed networking. All with founders, innovators, industry leaders and changemakers like you!
Our mix will be served in the following order:
starting 6:30 pm:
0. Arrival & signature drinks
Start making some first connections and start relaxing after a long day.
kick-off 7:00 pm:
1. Kick-off & welcome words from your hosts
2. Panel: different lenses & reflections on the past days
Together with a group of experts, we will look beyond the main stages and the shiny objects from the trade fair area. Each participant will give a quick intro before we go into a short fireside chat that includes not only a reflection on the IFA but also a perspective on the future, change, innovation, ai and digitization as well as sustainability and circularity.

Dr. Marianne Kuhlmann, Co-Founder at Circularity (the do tank & professional network for circular economy) for a systems & industry view
Carsten Waldeck, CEO & Founder at Shift (sustainable technologies with love from Germany - like Shiftphone) for a circular product & design view
Fynn Wolken, Digital Innovation Manager at Wertgarantie (the insurance with the aim of repair over replacement) for a consumer behavior & innovation view
Rémi Laoubi, Electronics Sector Lead at Circular Berlin (a non-profit reshaping Berlin’s metabolism) for a city & social change view

3. Pitches - part I: innovator's view from startups & pitch competition
After a short pitch, we’ll ask startup innovators for their view on the industry & a quick reflection on IFA including their perspective on the future, change, innovation, ai and digitization as well as sustainability and circularity.

Nadine Herbrich, Co-Founder at recyclehero (the pickup-service for used electronics & other items)
Stefan Nilsson, Founder at Foxway (the circular tech enabler for electronics)
Sebastian Daus, Co-Founder at FixFirst (the operating system for easy repair & circularity)
Moderated by Marlen Heske form NEEW Ventures
3. Pitches - part II: prize competition of selected startup
Are you a startup and want to win the prize and award in the category innovation or sustainability? Apply to pitch before Sunday the 8th at 7:00 pm CEST. Pitchers will be informed the same evening and asked to share a 3 min pitch deck on Monday.
Pitch winners will be awarded in the categories innovation and sustainability with two prizes sponsored by NEEW Ventures: a) a “5-week Circular Product Bootcamp: building green products and services” and b) a “6-week No-Code Program”!
Our jury will partially consists of our previous speakers and the session will be moderated by:

Florian Fehr, Managing Director at NEEW Ventures
- the venture builder for impact-driven start-ups
4. Networking for future: open mic & matchmaking with food & drinks
