Breaking Silos, Building Systems: Cross-Sector Partnerships for Scalable, Sustainable Impact
In a time of shrinking aid budgets and mounting global challenges, no single sector can drive lasting change alone. To truly advance the SDGs and address complex issues like urban poverty, education, health, and climate resilience, we need to break down silos and build cross-sector partnerships that are ambitious, inclusive, and built to scale.
This session will explore how NGOs, governments, corporations, philanthropies, academic institutions, and communities can co-create solutions through multi-stakeholder collaborations and public-private partnerships. We’ll highlight what it takes to invest not just in programs—but in the infrastructure, trust, and ecosystem that make sustainable partnerships possible. From university-led urban innovation to market linkages for grassroots initiatives, participants will share real-world lessons, explore challenges, and map out what’s needed to move from talk to action.
Key Questions:
What are the enablers and barriers to effective cross-sector collaboration, especially in resource-constrained environments?
How can we ensure private sector engagement goes beyond CSR and truly supports systemic, community-led change?
What role do academic institutions and intermediaries play in building and scaling partnership infrastructure?
How can multi-stakeholder models promote intersectional, whole-systems approaches to social change?
What governance, funding, and accountability mechanisms are needed to sustain partnerships over time?
This session will convene leaders from across sectors who are committed to building partnerships that don’t just add partners to the table—but change the table itself.
