About Event

Join us for StartUP FIU’s second Pitch Day for Student Innovation Week: showcasing our amazing student entrepreneurs!

About this Event:

Pitch Day for Student Innovation Week is an FIU-based showcase of student entrepreneurs where selected teams will have the chance to pitch their startups/ startup ideas to a panel of judges.

Teams that are selected to pitch during our event will have 3 minutes to present their startup ideas to a panel of judges followed by 3 minutes of Q&A. This is an amazing moment for teams to show off their amazing talent, meet like-minded individuals from FIU and the greater Miami community, and gain incredible experience in pitching!

Who is this event for?

Pitch Day is open for all FIU students, regardless of major or class standing!

This event is Hybrid:

As a student, you will have the option of joining us in-person at the StartUP FIU Space (3rd floor of the MARC building) or Virtually through Zoom.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

After submitting your application, you can expect to receive a response from the StartUP FIU team with final decisions or further inquiries by Tuesday, August 24th.

Feel free to also join us in person as an audience member by registering to our event! The pitch competition will also be live streamed on our Instagram!

IMPORTANT: This competition is open to startups at ALL stages, and all applicants will be judged on an equal playing field regardless of their stage in the entrepreneurship journey (this means that you are not being judged on the current success of your startup, but on your insight to the problem you're addressing). :)

The StartUP FIU team is looking for students that are thoughtful, creative, driven, and simply excited about the journey that comes with being a student entrepreneur, whether they just have an idea they'd love to work on, or are already more established entrepreneurs that have launched their business.

About Student Innovation Week:

Student Innovation Week is a week-long series of events, hosted by StartUP FIU, celebrating student entrepreneurship and innovation within the FIU and the greater Miami community.

SIW is scheduled from August 30th to September 3rd, 2021, filled with an amazing lineup of fun events and workshops using the many resources and learnings StartUP FIU has to offer!
