Through discussions with top founders and networking opportunities, we will explore the challenges and opportunities of biotech venture creation in Manchester and the wider UK ecosystem.
Speakers for Fireside Chats:
Prof. Richard Unwin (Co-Founder, Complement Therapeutics) - Complement Therapeutics is a University of Manchester spin-out developing innovative treatments for vision loss by targeting the complement system. Richard is also a Professor of Disease Proteomics at the University of Manchester.
Dr. Mohammad El Hajj (Co-Founder and CEO of Bright Biotech) - Bright Biotech is a start-up revolutionising growth factor production for the cultured meat sector. Mo co-founded Bright Biotech with his supervisor, Dr Anil Day, following his PhD in Biotechnology and Enterprise from the University of Manchester.
Arrivals at 5.30 pm with talks starting from 5.45 pm, followed by food, drinks, and networking with fellow innovators, researchers, investors and other in the ecosystem.
