About Event

Concerned about AI safety and potential catastrophic risks? Want to help but not sure how? Sudhanshu from the 80,000 hours team will be giving a talk on the evening of Tuesday 7th November on what to practically do about AI safety and how to think about using your career to help.

The talk will cover the current AI safety landscape and job market as well as what potential roles are expected to come up in future and strategies you can follow to increase your capability of having a positive impact.

The talk is for everyone, including those who are non-technical and if you’ve never done anything related to AI at all before. Whether you're just starting your career or decades into it, there'll hopefully be some practical takeaways. There’ll be lots of discussion afterwards so stick around for that and maybe even find someone hiring!

The evening will kick off with drinks from 7pm. The talk will start at 7.30pm for about an hour including Q&A. Then stick around after for (vegan) pizza, drinks and chats.

We're kindly being hosted in the offices of the London Institute for Safe AI.
