About Event

Resist + Renew are back in Bristol for a one day Facilitation workshop!

As a grassroots facilitation and training collective we've learnt a thing or two about meetings. And with so much organising and mobilising to be done across many fronts, we want to equip more folks to feel ready and confident to facilitate meetings in their groups and campaigns.

If you’re part of social movement groups and newer or less confident at facilitating - this day is for you!

We will cover:

  • What 'good' meetings look and feel like

  • The facilitator's role in supporting them to happen

  • The skills of a facilitator and practising building them

  • Models of decision making and trying them out

  • Power and privilege, accessibility and healthy group culture in our meetings

What kinds of meetings might this be useful for?

  • Day to day / regular meetings in campaign or community groups

  • One off meetings

This isn’t aimed at:

  • Facilitating a large gathering or conference

  • Facilitating a group conflict or mediation

Hot and cold drinks, snacks and lunch will be provided.

Who are Resist + Renew?

We're a small training and facilitation collective with over 60 years of movement experience between us. This session will be run by Ali (he/him) and Yaz (they/them). Find out more about R+R and the trainers here: https://resistrenew.com
