Kristin Kent is an investor and advisor at Expa, where she works to identify and support talented founders. Expa is an early-stage venture fund started by Garrett Camp (founder of Uber). Before joining Expa, Kristin amassed over ten years of operational experience at venture-backed startups, most recently at Modsy. She has also held growth and product marketing roles for Calm, Foursquare, Bloom Energy, and Rocket Fuel.
Maria Pope serves as a Programs Manager for Black Girl Ventures. She works with founders to grow and scale their businesses through BGV’s six-week accelerator program, JetPack, that founders enter following BGV’s signature style crowdfunded pitch competition. Maria is passionate about women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship and is honored to work in a role supporting courageous female-identifying founders. Previously, Maria worked at Mission City Renewal, supporting social entrepreneurs in San Antonio, Texas.
Sruti Bharat is passionate about creating equal access to economic opportunity, especially for underrepresented minorities, women, first-gen students, and underdogs. She manages the venture program at All Raise to advance women in the venture ecosystem into check-writing roles. Sruti also founded and runs a nonprofit called FutureMap, which helps first-generation college grads navigate their transition to the workforce.
