India Sand Watch - a year in review
India Sand Watch is completing one year in the public domain, and we are excited to celebrate this milestone with you!
India Sand Watch (ISW) is an environmental accountability project with on Open-Data platform at its heart. The platform, built collaboratively with Ooloi Labs, enables collection, annotation and archiving of data on sand mining in India.
Through ISW, we are also collectively building & sharing knowledge on sediments, encouraging active citizenship, and offering new imaginations for environmental accountability.
Join our celebrations, where we will be talking about the project, our work and challenges this last year and our exciting plans, directions and collaborations for the upcoming year! Hear from our partners and collaborators at the Wildlife Conservation Trust, Berkeley School of Information, Youth Ki Awaaz and Agami about the diverse work done in this past year, and what we have in store for the future.
We’re also launching something special at the event, to make the ISW data archive more accessible and open to you all - tune in to learn more!
