miibio: miibio, Inc. is a biotechnology startup from the University of Tokyo developing a photo-switchable biomanufacturing platform. With its unique technology, miibio creates what the future world needs, driving a new era of biomanufacturing and contributing to a regenerative future.

Yuki Ebina — Chief Strategy Officer He leads corporate strategy and global business development at miibio. He spent 15 years in the global shipping industry, including leading West Coast operations in North America and launching a Silicon Valley CVC. Guided by his belief in bridging traditional industries and cutting-edge technologies, he is driving business development to bring miibio’s unique technology into real-world application and create new industrial value.
PtBio: PtBio Inc. is building a data-driven “digital breeding” platform, by leveraging genomic data of living organisms. We aim to transform conventional breeding practices—which have long relied on experience and intuition—into a science-based process that enables the rapid selection of superior varieties with desired traits and the optimization of breeding conditions.
We are proceeding with several initiatives with different business partners in a wide range of fields. For example, we successfully developed the allergy-free egg products and plan to launch them for giving opportunities for people with egg allergies, and CO₂ recycling solutions using microalgae. Through these efforts, we contribute to solving global challenges such as food security, health, and climate change.

Atsuhiro Ishii ー Chief Operating Officer
Atsuhiro joined the U.S.-based consulting firm Arthur D. Little Japan as a new graduate, where he was involved in business and R&D strategy development, as well as business due diligence across various industries, particularly in the bio and healthcare sectors. In October 2021, he joined PtBio Inc. as Director of Business Development, and was appointed to the Chief Operating Officer in April 2022. He has since been broadly involved in business strategy planning, organizational and operation management, domestic and international business development, fundraising.
AC Biode: AC Biode is a cleantech startup with chemistry, material science and electronics expertise. Funded by EIT InnoEnergy, a body of the EU, Genesia Ventures, etc., AC Biode is developing catalysts and processes to decompose mixed plastic waste and organic waste.

Tadashi Kubo ー CEO
Before AC Biode, Tadashi worked at Sojitz Corporation on business development and project finance for machinery, infrastructure, and renewable energy, mainly in Africa and Latin America. Tadashi started AC Biode with Dr. Atsushi, Co-Founder & CTO, in the UK and Japan, and now has business in Luxembourg. Tadashi holds an MBA from Judge Business School, the University of Cambridge. A former Bronze Medalist in the Feather Weight Class of Japan’s National Boxing and a 3-time finisher of a 100km ultra-marathon.
