About Event

Serious about giving to climate mitigation but lost on where to start? Want to learn how to direct your dollars to initiatives that will make a real dent in the race to net zero?

Join us for an evening of drinks and conversation to learn what the latest research says about how and where to donate to spur the systemic change we need to slow global warming.

Giving Green’s founder and executive director, Dr. Dan Stein, will lead a panel discussion with leading changemakers in climate about the most promising philanthropic strategies and where more capital is needed to accelerate them. Attendees will learn how Giving Green’s research team identifies the most promising and cost-effective climate mitigation strategies with the potential to make a global, systemic impact, as well as the top nonprofits implementing each strategy. Attendees will walk away with the tools to apply these findings to their own climate giving and make more informed, evidence-based decisions about where to allocate their dollars. We’ll dig deep into a selection of high-impact climate mitigation strategies and hear from nonprofit leaders themselves on the promise of alternative proteins to cut livestock emissions, geothermal energy to supplement renewables in the green energy transition, centering capacity building and environmental justice in decarbonizing heavy industry, and more.

Panelists will include:

  • Bruce Friedrich, Founder and CEO, Good Food Institute

  • Dominique Thomas, Partner and Field Building Director, Industrious Labs

  • Jamie Beard, Founder and Executive Director, Project InnerSpace

Guests are welcome to join us starting at 5pm for some pre-discussion drinks. The panel will begin promptly at 5:30pm, followed by audience Q+A. Reception to follow where attendees will have the opportunity to speak with panelists and other industry peers.

We hope to see you there!
