Coming Up for Air: Celebrating Joy, Feeling It All, and Making Space for the Mess
Celebrating Joy, ✨Feeling It All✨, and Making Space for the Mess
What if we spiraled into joy the way we spiral into anxiety? Join us on May 17th for "Coming Up for Air: Celebrating Joy, Feeling It All, and Making Space for the Mess”," a workshop designed to help you come back to joy like your first fresh breath through pounds of confetti.
Through creative somatic exercises, grounding meditations, and heartfelt conversations, we’ll explore how to use joy to embrace messiness and hardships, establish joy rituals, nurture self-connection, and lean on community to navigate life’s messiness. Together, we’ll plant seeds for practices that help you stay present, hold space for joy, and check-in with yourself in messy moments.
This is a chance to experience the incredible work of The Confetti Project in a more intimate setting at Thread Studio. You'll experience the magic of play and wonder while embracing the messiness of change through confetti and connecting with a community of people ready to do the same. As we head into spring and emerge from a gloomy winter, this “Celebration Lab” will serve as your touch point for accessing joy throughout the year and invite you into a community that can support you now and beyond this event.
Come ready to connect, create, and celebrate the art of transformation—with confetti, warm vibes, and a few surprises along the way. Let’s turn 2025 into a year of possibility, starting from within.
tickets: $60 | space is limited | all are welcome!
*Includes: refreshments, ~60-minute group workshop experience, personal journal, a confetti video portrait, letter, confetti goodie bag, and community:)
About Our Hosts
Jelena, also known as “confetti girl,” is a multi-disciplinary artist that’s grown The Confetti Project over the past 10 years, transforming people with playful confetti experiences that reignite their joy. What started as a creative project in her apartment during her year of "Cancer of Confetti" that turned into grieving the loss of her Dad has taught people how to embrace the messiness of being human by using confetti as a tool to access joy in times of pain, grief, or adversity. She’s developed a unique way of giving people the space to reconnect to their inner spark while bringing play back into adulthood, further expanding the definition of celebration to apply to every moment.
