​Jonathan Stark is a former software developer on a mission to rid the world of hourly billing. He is the author of Hourly Billing Is Nuts, the host of Ditching Hourly, and writes a daily newsletter on pricing for independent professionals.

​For nearly fifteen years, Jonathan worked as a software developer building products for clients as a consultant and, like most consultants, charged an hourly rate. Then, one year, he decided to do things differently. Instead of charging hourly, he tried value-based pricing, and that year, he doubled his income. He’s now on a mission to spread the word about the power of pricing your expertise instead of billing for your time. 

​Jonathan is also a successful founder in his own right, growing his one-person business into a range of different products and services. He writes a daily newsletter to over 10,000 subscribers, he’s written five books that have been translated into seven languages, he offers private high-ticket coaching services, and a more accessible community for people who want to make more money as solo consultants. With his multiple streams of income, he’s got tons of experience running a well-rounded business that’s focused on a mission but meets customers where they are. He even has his own comic strip.
