In her twenties, Hiam Abbas left her Palestinian village to pursue acting in Europe, leaving behind her family. Thirty years later, her filmmaker daughter Lina returns with her, tracing the echoes of departure and longing. Bye Bye Tiberias weaves memories, family archives, and history into an intimate portrait of love, resilience, and the quiet strength of generations.
The film was selected for IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam) and TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) and has been nominated for Best Documentary at the 2025 César Awards.
二十多歲時，Hiam Abbas 離開巴勒斯坦的村莊，前往歐洲追尋表演夢想，將家人留在身後。三十年後，她的女兒、導演 Lina 陪同母親回到故鄉，尋找離別與思念的痕跡。
