Simon is a partner leading U.S. investment efforts at Cathay Innovation, a global venture capital firm managing over $2.5 billion in assets under management (AUM). He focuses on investments in software, fintech, digital healthcare, and consumer sectors, working closely with entrepreneurs and teams at various stages of growth. Cathay Innovation’s portfolio includes Alkemics (acquired by Salsify), drivy (acquired by Getaround), and Tuhu (HKG: 9690.)
Prior to joining Cathay Innovation, Simon was a Manager in VMware's Strategy & Corporate Development team, where he specialized in M&A, investments, and strategy. Before that, he was part of UBS's Technology Investment Banking division, advising on M&A and equity + debt capital raises. In 2020, Simon was recognized as one of Venture Capital Journal's 40 Under 40 Rising VC Stars.
