About Event

Welcome to F*ckUp Nights Melbourne: April 2025 edition!

F*ckUp Nights is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012 and established to help share public failure stories with hundreds of people attending each event around the world. Speakers talk about their f*ckup stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way.


Speaker 1: Abi Iyer - Head of Product Design @ Easygo - The company behind Stake and Kick

Abi leads design at Easygo, overseeing product and innovation. He has worked across startups and scaleups, with a focus on building creative, high-performing teams that actually enjoy working together. Beyond design, Abi has shaped company strategy, coached founders, and helped teams level up how they work. He is all about practical, people-first ways to make work better—both for customers and the teams building the product.

Speaker 2: COOPER TIELEN - Co-founder, Gnositukoi

Cooper Tielen is a visionary founder reshaping the future of food. As co-founder of Gnositukoi Lyrae, he leads a fast-growing collective behind The Havilah—a next-gen home food-growing appliance now live under contract with Yugo Student Accommodation and backed by the City of Melbourne, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and The Wattle Fellowship.

Having transitioned from university to pursue Gnositukoi full-time, Cooper brings bold thinking, hands-on leadership, and a deep belief in community-powered innovation to every venture he touches.

Speaker 3: Olyvia Munro - Founder, Zello

Olyvia Munro is a 23-year-old entrepreneur transforming fashion retail through data. As the founder and CEO of Zello, she’s built a platform that decodes the DNA of every item in a store—empowering retailers to optimize fitting room experiences with precise RFID insights. From developing an MVP in just four weeks to partnering with leading retailers and participating in Startmate’s accelerator, Olyvia is redefining how data drives smarter, more efficient retail decisions. Her journey of challenging the status quo and innovating under pressure inspires a new wave of retail tech innovation.

Speaker 4: Riya Malik - Startmate Summer '25 Fellowship

Riya Malik is the founder of Reform , an early stage startup developing kinetically-powered clothing. A 2025 Startmate Student Fellow, she is leading development of this idea born from the Engineers without Borders Challenge through the prototyping stage with a focus on developing a scalable brand whilst giving back to rural communities in need. Committed to bridging product design and science with her passion for innovation, Riya shines in her creative problem-solving, and experience navigating both its challenges and advantages. Riya is building solutions that don’t just work—but matter.
