🥾Healing Hike @ Pennypack—PHILLY

​Join Hike Host Erica for a Sunday morning 4 mile trek in Philly’s Northeast section Pennypack Park as we enjoy some summer Sun and views of the Pennypack Creek. Did you know neighborhood's name originates from the Lenape word "penepekw", meaning “deep water”? 

​We will enjoy ONLY half of this simple 8 mile trail as a refresh for the new week ahead. It’s a mostly easy/mildly moderate hike with a flat path for the first half but for some quick adventure, we will explore the hilly bike/horse path on the way back.

​There’s a generous paved parking lot off Pine Road before trailhead; please arrive timely to ensure you secure a spot and a timely start. There is access to bathrooms via portable potty’s. Please bring tissue and a small plastic bag in the event you need to use nature’s restroom.

​We will leave promptly at 10:15am after intros and our warm-up.

​IMPORTANT DETAILS:

• ​ALL LEVELS 4 mile hike

  • ​easy/mildly moderate  

• ​Preparation:

  • ​Please wear appropriate trailers, sneakers (with tread) or hiking boots.

  • ​Bring at least 24oz of water (hydrate with electrolytes the evening before)

  • ​Bug spray and sunscreen are highly recommended.

  • ​Bring along a snack and a blanket for our break, if you’d like!

• ​Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
