Sunday Hike #5: Presidio Loop Trail
Join us for a Sunday morning adventure on the Presidio Loop Trail, one of San Francisco’s hidden gems! This 4.5-mile loop takes us through the stunning landscapes of the Presidio, featuring lush eucalyptus groves, historic sites, and panoramic coastal views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The hike is moderately challenging and will take about 2–2.5 hours. Be sure to bring water, snacks, and dress in layers as San Francisco’s weather can be unpredictable.
What to Expect:
Diverse landscapes: forests, grasslands, and coastal bluffs.
Iconic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay
Historic landmarks like the San Francisco National Cemetery
Optional detour to scenic overlooks along the trail

Parking: Available near the Arguello Gate entrance; arrive early as spaces fill quickly
Restrooms: Available at the Presidio Officers’ Club
What to Bring: Water, snacks, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and layers
Where to Meet:
Meet at the Arguello Parking Lot at 9:00 AM. We’ll wait a few minutes for latecomers but will start promptly to stay on schedule. If you’re running late, let us know via our WhatsApp community, and we’ll help you join the group on the trail.
We’ll finish the hike back at the starting point. Those interested can join us for an optional brunch nearby to relax and chat after the hike.
