About Event

The "Train the trainer" program is a collaborative effort between The Phoenix Guild and Konma. We will be providing free training(worth ~750$) to selected participants. The selection steps are as follows:

  • Based on the details in this form, you will be invited to take a small quiz.

  • The top scorers in the quiz will be nominated for the training.

We have less than 10 spots in the entire training and therefore, we require that you have some experience in computer science or a master's in statistical mathematics, in order to learn Haskell in the given amount of time.

This training will be a virtual training but in the IST(GMT+5:30) timezone. This will largely occupy most of your day, so we request you to enroll only if you feel like you can spare that time.

Here is the Haskell Curriculum for the training: https://docs.google.com/document/d/128YT41tfrKA93t59Im0uwKMPjikeYfn3/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=104696412296259673076&rtpof=true&sd=true

Note from the professor:
"Please note that although it is written half day, trainees will be busy the whole day. The half-day is just the time that I will be training them. After that, they will have exercise and study material to cover without my assistance. Moreover, Saturdays will be spent in individual weekly evaluation."

Why learn Haskell?
Haskell is a functional programming language, which means that it provides you with a different way of thinking about a problem. Functional programming languages and paradigms offer Immutability, and Fault tolerance and can provide a high level of parallelization and distributedness. This makes functional languages very desirable for blockchain protocols.
Protocols like Cardano use Haskell as the underlying language and there is a huge lack of Haskell devs in the ecosystem.
This can be an opportunity for you to learn and master something that less than 1% of the world knows.
