Olito: A Neighborhood Meet-Cute
We're popping back up with South Slope's favorite social club - Olito!
Olio x Little Honey = Olito
Paired with natural wines and house-made focaccia pizza, Olio will infuse our love of learning and connection into the space by having communal tables set up with a deck of Olio conversation prompts. We are setting it up so that you can come solo or come with friends and either way you'll be sure to leave with your cup full.
This week we'll be joined by neighborhood star, Whitney Hu. A community organizer, mutual aid don dada, and one of Olio’s original connections to the Strand Bookstore. Whitney knows how to organize a party as well as she organizes a protest so come on over to Olito, hang out and let us do all the work of ice-breaking so you can relax and meet some Brooklyn’s finest.
This event is free! Delicious wine, beer and mocktails as well as homemade pizza available for purchase (and it helps us make the case that Little Honey should keep hosting Olito here 🙏)
Ethos of the Olito wine bar <3
In a community effort against the loneliness epidemic and political nihilism, custom-made conversation cards on communal tables invite guests to explore culture, creativity, and connection with strangers at this natural wine bar, where phones are discouraged.
We dream of a phone-less bar. We won't tell you to put it away but our hope is that the vibe will be so good, you won't even remember you have an instagram.
Come support and bring that good energy so we can keep this thing going and grow roots for our Olio community <3
*FYI it's not intentionally a dating event, just meet-cute in the broadest sense :)
