Daybreak Open House
Come hang out with us at Daybreak!
For one evening, we’ll be opening our doors to students who want an inside look into the day-to-day of a studio. Whether you're still figuring out your path in design or you’re just interested to see what creative life might look like post-grad, this is a relaxed, low-pressure opportunity to get a firsthand account from people who do it every day.
What to expect:
An honest breakdown of studio life - We’ll share more behind-the-scenes stuff you don’t usually get to hear about in your typical classroom or office setting. There are plenty of stories we have to tell (and lessons we’re still figuring out!
Insights into our practices - Get to know us beyond our portfolio. We’ll talk about why we aim to center people and play in our process, and how this philosophy has translated into the artifacts we've produced along the way.
Open, candid conversation - This won’t be a stuffy lecture. Our speaking will be capped at 30 minutes and there's no rigid agenda — just organic, collaborative discussions where you can ask questions, share ideas, and get a better sense of the culture.
New friendships – Stick around afterwards to meet and chat with other young creatives. We’ll also be there, so be sure to say hi!
Who will be there:
Ben Giannis (DESN ‘24): Product designer, always up for a game of Mario Kart
Christopher Ha (TMU '23): Senior design engineer, currently on his umpteenth Ratatouille rewatch
Khadija Bari (DESN '23): Product designer, enjoys chocolate milk and a good yap session
Kiran Patel (YSDN '21): Senior design engineer, will do a voice impression if you ask nicely
Taha Hossain (YSDN ‘20): Founder and creative director, can be found at the racetrack on weekends
You?
Doors will open at 4:30pm and we will wrap up at 6:30pm.
If you can’t make it this time, no worries — this is just the beginning! Stay tuned for future events.
