This week we will practice Shinzen's See Hear Feel Arising and Passing. Today we'll practice a taste of all the sense gates.

  1. ​​​Focus on the moment something is arising or passing in See Space, which includes anything visual: Visual thought (See In) and external sight (See Out),

    • ​​​Noting New if something is arising

    • ​Noting Gone if something is passing

    • ​Noting Both if you notice arising and passing at the same time.

    • ​Note Rest if you notice neither arising or passing

  2. ​​​​​Focus on the moment something is arising or passing in Hear Space, which includes auditory thought (Hear In) and External Sounds (Hear Out).

    • ​​​Noting New if something is arising

    • ​Noting Gone if something is passing

    • ​Noting Both if you notice arising and passing at the same time.

    • ​Note Rest if you notice the lack of arising or passing

  3. ​Focus on the moment something is arising or passing in Feel Space, which includes Emotional Sensations (feeling) and Non Emotional Physical Sensations (Feel Out).​

    • ​​​Noting New if something is arising

    • ​Noting Gone if something is passing

    • ​Noting Both if you notice arising and passing at the same time.

    • ​Note Rest if you notice the lack of arising or passing

  4. ​​​Focus on all arising and passing in all sense gates.

    • ​​​​​Noting New if something is arising
