🎥 About the Film
Filmed in the remote mountains of Ladakh, Northern India, this short documentary follows an all-female team of explorers and advocates on a winter adventure through snow leopard territory. Directed by acclaimed environmental filmmaker Hardik Contractor, the film is a celebration of courage, community, and the urgent need to protect both biodiversity and cultural heritage in a rapidly warming world.
Their journey highlights the critical work of the Snow Leopard Conservancy India Trust, a non-profit dedicated to conserving the endangered snow leopard through community-driven approaches, eco-tourism, environmental education, and the preservation of traditional livelihoods.

Through their efforts, snow leopards—once viewed as livestock predators—are now honoured as Ri Gyancha, or “ornaments of the mountains.”
