Art & Friends Night - Opening Night at The Nutcracker Ballet
Friends! You're invited to gather for an evening of fellowship, art and conversation, where we'll seek to cultivate deeper connections with each other through experiencing and reflecting on the arts together.
We will begin with pre-show dinner and conversations at BAIA, followed by a beautiful performance of The Nutcracker Ballet at the Opera House! Time to get into the holiday spirit! ✨
Schedule:
Pre-show dinner, drinks and conversations at a Mano (5.30-6.45pm) 🍽💬
Ballet show at the Opera House (7-9pm) 💃🏻🎄🎁
Things to keep in mind:
Guests can bring a +1 to this event. All guests need to register and purchase a ticket via Luma.
The registration fee covers the cost of admission to the show, but the cost of food and beverages during dinner are not included. Tickets are non-refundable.
Dinner before the show is optional. Guests will be grouped into different tables with people based on fit. Each table will be responsible for their own check. We will walk over to the show after dinner together.
Bring a jacket in case the walk to the show gets chilly.
We may reschedule this event if tickets sell out before I'm able to purchase them.
Rules for the evening:
Dress in cocktail formal attire (it's an evening to contemplate and celebrate the finer things in life so dress the part!) 🤵🏽👠
No talking about work (unless you're an artist!) 💼
No phones during dinner (be present!) 📱
Come ready to share stories about your favorite artsy experiences. 🎹
Attendance for the show is mandatory for guests. Post-show dinner is optional but encouraged! 🎫
Preparing for our conversations:
Spend 30 mins prior to the event meditating on the following questions and come ready to share your thoughts! 💭
What is one work of art that has moved or unsettled you in your life? Why?
Tell us about an artist who you are friends with. What can you do to support them better?
How can you incorporate the arts more intentionally into your life?
About the performance:
Experience the magical winter wonderland of toy soldiers, King of the Mice, Sugar Plum Fairy, and so much more. This dazzling production is a kaleidoscope of over 150 dancers accompanied by the SF Ballet Orchestra performing Tchaikovsky’s beloved score. Create everlasting memories with loved ones.
