Sapologie
Sapologie is here.
This September, Urban Hikers and Fly for the Low are teaming up for a one-of-a-kind event that brings together wellness, culture, and style in motion. Inspired by the legendary Sapeurs of the Democratic Republic of Congo icons of elegance, defiance, and creativity we’re inviting you to hit the streets with us for a vibrant celebration of walking, community, and self-expression.
Sapologie isn’t just a walk.
It’s a living, breathing catwalk across the city. It’s a cultural celebration. It’s an invitation to reclaim public space with joy, dignity, and presence. Led by Vanny Mwamba and Christian Brantley, this curated walking experience will explore how style and movement can shape identity, promote wellness, and strengthen community bonds.
Along the way, we’ll:
Begin at the Freedom Center grounding ourselves in history and liberation.
📸 Stop at the Mercantile Library for a 20-minute photo session – a quiet moment of reflection, creativity, and classic architecture.
🚋Hop on the streetcar – activating Cincinnati’s transit system as part of the walker’s economy.
🛍️ Arrive at Findlay Market – a hub of local commerce and community.
🎉 End with a lively after-party – music, fashion, and fun to celebrate the city and each other.
Whether you’re passionate about urban design, fascinated by Congo’s vibrant culture, or just curious about how a walk can become a statement, Sapologie is for you.
Wear your boldest outfit. Bring your fullest self.
A cross-promoted event by Urban Hikers x Fly for the Low.
Come dressed. Come ready. Come walk the city into a new rhythm.
