About Event

​​Join Work on Climate community members as they discuss their transition to climate work and how they overcame ecosystem barriers to get there.

​​5 Talks, 5 Industries, 5 Functions

​​Discover diverse pathways to meaningful climate work as five Work on Climate community members from various climate and sustainability sectors divulge their transitions and strategies for overcoming ecosystem barriers.

​​Each speaker will have 5 minutes to share their success story. This will be followed by a Q&A segment and breakout room sessions, where you can connect directly with speakers and other attendees.

Jacklyn Beebe

Jackie is an accounting professional with a passion for environmental sustainability. She has dual Masters' degrees in Environmental Science and Accounting. Her professional dream is to help organizations integrate environmental sustainability metrics into core decision-making processes as well as reporting those metrics with the same confidence and rigor as other accounting metrics on traditional financial statements.

Zohar Ehrlich
CEO @ Hanuman Creative
Zohar is an Earth scientist turned Climate Marketer. After years of building tech to find critical minerals and hydrocarbons, he founded Hanuman Creative, one of the first Content Marketing Agencies focused on Climate Tech. Helping the ecosystem communicate the challenges, solutions, and opportunities in a positive exciting manner is the daily delight.

Janine Bitencourt
International Communication Consultant @ Souvie Organica
Marketing Expert in Sustainability, writer, copywriter, entrepreneur, angel-investor, marketing director of an organic sorbet brand (La Naturelle) and fostering empowerment and connection to female entrepreneurship initiatives (YUS). Partner at Sincronicidade lab in Sao Paulo – Brazil and Communication Consultant of an organic-certified skincare Brazilian brand Souvie Organics.

Dr. Girish Sapra
Managing Director @ GreenBrigade Private Limited
Dr. (Prof.) Girish is an experienced research professional/Startup Founder & Mentor with a carbon and environment management, innovative waste management solutions, carbon footprint mitigation strategies in energy sector and sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has published research papers in high impact journals. He has an impressive track record of success in product development, resource optimization, innovative and sustainable circular economy-based net zero carbon solutions in waste and energy management. He enjoys working with young enthusiastic innovators/entrepreneurs from all across the world.

Melissa Wilson Becerril
Impact Manager @ Cooperative Coffees
Melissa Wilson Becerril manages the Climate Impact Fund at Cooperative Coffees, a green coffee importing cooperative formed by 23 roaster-members in Canada and the US, supporting farmer-led investments centered on climate justice. Previously, she managed coffee supply chains and public-private partnerships for impact for a certifier, where she learned from the elite of the global organized farmer movement - the organic coffee farmers who created the concept of fair trade. Melissa believes economic justice is the basis of true environmental sustainability, promoting cooperatives and championing smallholder farmers around the world.
