Emily Coleman is the Vice President of Marketing at Messari. Emily comes to Messari with over a decade of experience leading marketing and communication efforts for startups across multiple business verticals. She has worked in the crypto industry since 2014. Most notably, Emily served as CMO at ShapeShift, the world’s first non-custodial crypto exchange, for over four years. She has served as the interim marketing director to some of the industry’s leading brands including Wachsman and Casa. Emily holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston in Journalism and Media Communications.
Maartje Bus
General Manager, Research
Maartje Bus is the Research General Manager at Messari. Maartje comes to Messari with over 20 years of experience in global capital markets. Prior to Messari, Maartje spent three years at Omniex, most recently as Vice President of Business Development. Before Omniex, Maartje worked as the Global Head of Capital Markets at Thomson Reuters. She began her career as an Equity Capital Markets banker at Citi in London. Over the course of her career, she helped raise more than $20 billion in convertible bond capital for public companies, working in Asia, Europe, and the US. She holds a master's degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Renna Ba
Business Development Manager
Renna Ba is a Business Development Manager at Messari. Before joining Messari, Renna worked in public affairs SaaS sales for clients from government entities to corporations like Apple and Uber. She was also involved in the Web3 space contributing to various Discord channels and Defi projects. Most recently as the Chinese community moderator for Redacted. Renna holds a master's degree from George Washington University focusing on research in crypto policy.
Karen Shen
Research Analyst, Asset Intelligence
Karen Shen is a Research Analyst on the Asset Intelligence team at Messari. Prior to joining the team at Messari, Karen was the Operations Manager for Mycelium as well as a UX/UI Designer and Product Associate for technology startups. Karen holds a dual degree in Law (with Honours) and IT/Computer Science from the Queensland University of Technology.
