Hui #3: TribalDAOs = Indigenous Economic Sovereignty.

​After our Hui #2 in May, we are excited to invite you to Hui #3: TribalDAOs = Indigenous Economic Sovereignty.

This series brings together a diverse group of experts (yes that means YOU!) to develop a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) blueprint that empowers Māori communities with self-governance, data sovereignty, and economic autonomy.

​Hui #3 is for those who joined us April and for anyone new to the project interested in learning more and contributing. We’ll dive into:

• ​Recent case studies looking at how different Whenua / Land trusts will use Tribal DAOs

• ​The initial structure for Matou DAO and how we aim to continue serving our communities by providing sovereign digital infrastructure

• ​Look at how your feedback has contributed to the prototype application / technology that we are building to make available to you, your whānau, hapū and communities.

​Led by Mātou Collective, we are a kaupapa Māori Technology organisation grounded in Te Ao Māori. We aim to develop digital infrastructure that supports epistemic justice, facilitates self-determination, and enhances the well-being of Māori and Indigenous communities.

​We believe that TribalDAOs can become a powerful tool for economic sovereignty and data ownership, and we look forward to collaborating with you on this meaningful work.
