About Event

Curious about what it takes to build a company as an immigrant founder in the US? Join us for an insightful fireside chat with Nitin Pachisia, founding partner at Unshackled VC, a venture fund dedicated to supporting immigrant entrepreneurs from day one. Nitin brings years of experience navigating the unique challenges and opportunities that come with building across borders.

We also have Kohwo, the founder of HouseForm, an Unshackled VC portfolio company, joining us for the AMA! Born and raised in Nigeria, he moved to the US on a high-school scholarship at age 16. Kohwo graduated from MIT in 2023 and started HouseForm (formerly Klativa) during his senior year. HouseForm is a platform that builds and manages AI rental agents. Their agents collaborate with other human agents, property managers, and landlords to deliver personalized support to renters at scale.

What you'll experience:
- Practical advice and personal stories from years of immigrant founder investing
- Deep dive into fundraising and immigration hurdles - Insights on leveraging diverse perspectives in innovation
- Candid Q&A with someone who understands your unique journey
- Networking with 25-40 founders from MIT, Harvard, Northeastern & BU

Agenda:
4:30 - 5:15 - Welcome, Check-in & Open Networking (Nitin will be around until 5:45, so early birds get extra face time!)

5:15 - 6:0 - Fireside Chat + AMA with Nitin Pachisia and Kohwo, the founder of HouseForm, a Unschackled VC portfolio company: Moderated conversation followed by audience Q&A.

6 - 6:30 - Networking & Resource Exchange with Refreshments (Some delicious food sourced from local immigrant-owned shops!)

This conversation will explore everything from the startup landscape to the power of building across borders. Whether you're an aspiring founder, current entrepreneur, or simply interested in the intersection of entrepreneurship and immigration, you'll walk away with fresh perspectives and actionable insights.

This event is generously sponsored by Greenberg Traurig.

Reserve your spot for this candid discussion you won't want to miss!
