About Event

Rise Women’s Legal Centre is hosting a virtual symposium for lawyers and support workers on increasing access to justice for our mutual clients through collaboration. To accommodate your busy schedules, this symposium will take place in 3 sessions on 3 afternoons.

In these three sessions, we will explore the benefits of working together across different sectors to serve and support our clients better; ethics, best practices and special considerations when lawyers and support workers collaborate; and approaching this work from a decolonial perspective. Please find the agenda here.

Fee: This event is free of charge to all participants. Donations to Rise are always welcome and will receive an immediate tax receipt: bit.ly/risedonate.

Professional Development: For lawyers, this symposium is eligible for a maximum of 7.5 credit hours toward the Law Society of BC's annual CPD requirement, including ethics, over the 3 sessions.

Accessibility: If there is anything you require in order to take part in these sessions, or to make your participation more comfortable, please email Carmine Dung at assistant@womenslegalcentre.ca and Rise will accommodate your request to the best of our ability. We would appreciate receiving any accessibility requests before 21 January if possible.
