Open Lab: March 5, 2025

​Hey everyone!

​LAST WEEK Daiane kicked off the lab with a vibration and resonance warmup, exploring how these energies move through and around our bodies.

• ​We continued exploring these themes through group and trio improvisations.

• ​The soundscape featured EMG sensors, a resonating metal sheet, and pitch-shifting effects — all flowing through Max MSP and punctuated by the satisfying clicks and claps from Jackson's quirky wooden cylinder instrument.

• ​We also had a special guest! Clara Kamunde, a reporter from KALW, captured our Open Lab sounds for an upcoming podcast featuring Kinetech Arts — stay tuned! 🎙️

​THIS WEEK: Let's build on our sonic journey. If you have a musical instrument or a sound-making object of any kind, feel free to bring it! We'll sample and process everything through our soundboard in real time, creating a collective, evolving soundscape.
