About the Event
The Third Annual OpenMiami Datathon is a global civic innovation challenge where data scientists, real estate professionals, civic technologists, policymakers, and researchers come together to unlock actionable insights for Miami’s future.
This year, we’re tackling real estate, extreme events, and infrastructure resilience—leveraging county, municipal, and academic datasets to address some of the most pressing challenges in Miami-Dade, such as:
✅ Real Estate & Economic Insights 🏗 – Predictive analytics for development, market trends, and affordability
✅ Extreme Events & Disaster Preparedness 🌪️ – Modeling risks from hurricanes, flooding, and other hazards
✅ Infrastructure & Built Environment Resilience 🏛 – Data-driven strategies for strengthening Miami’s real estate and public assets
✅ Tree Canopy & Urban Greening 🌳 – Mapping and optimizing the Million Trees Miami initiative
